Volleyball preview: Madison v. Bellaire

Houston Madison visits Houston Bellaire in District 20-5A volleyball action on Tuesday.

The Marlins lost its last match to Houston Lamar in three games, 12-25, 19-25, and 9-25. The defeat dropped Madison to 5-12 overall and 2-9 in district play.

Jerrica Robertson led Madison in the match with 5 kills. She leads the team with 110 kills. Ronna Collins leads the clubs with a 2.68-kill-per-game average.

Houston Bellaire won its last watch over Houston Westside in three games, 25-16, 25-23, and 25-16.The win lifted Bellaire to  20-7 overall and 13-0 in district play.

The Cardinals were led by 6-foot, 2-inch junior Khourtini Fears who recorded nine kills in the match. Christina Seanger, a 5-foot, 10-inch senior, leads the team with 88 kills and a 3.14-kill-per-game average.

Tuesday's match is slated for 4 p.m. at the Butler Complex.
