HS girls basketball preview: Chavez v. Episcopal

Chavez visits Episcopal in girls basketball action on Friday.

Chavez is 6-9 on the season and 0-1 in district play after losing to Cypress Ridge last Friday by a score of 50-35.

Junior Chelse Smith is averaging 13.3 points per game for the team.

Episcopal has a 12-2 record on the season, winning its last game 45-43 over Second Baptist last Friday.

Alex Burroughs is averaging a team high 19.1 points per game.

Friday’s tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
