Sports lover wants to be globe trotter

Kristen Kling, who often goes by the name Krissy, loves sports, her family and travel. “These past two years, I was on two soccer teams, a track team, ran cross-country and rode horses all at the same time,” she said. “Sports are a big part of my life, as is my family. This past summer, my mom, sister and I went to Ireland, and we had the best time. I would love to continue to travel all over the world.”

Accomplishments: Member of the National Honor Society, earned cross-country and track letters and is on cross-country and track teams, on soccer team, ribbon finalist in several area horse shows.

Favorite class: “History because it’s just like a story, and it’s fun to learn about our past.”

Favorite things to do after class: “I like to play sports or hang out with my friends and do homework together.”

Ambition: “I still don’t know what I want to do in life, but I really like working with people, animals and kids. Last summer, I was a Zoo Crew Teen and worked with the camp counselors. I really enjoyed that experience and hope to repeat it this summer. Also, this summer, my sister is going to Madagascar to conduct research on lemurs, and later, my mom and I hope to meet up with her in South Africa.”
