Representing the USA, sailor excels competitively
Robbie Nicholls has a passion for anything that puts him on the water, especially if that anything is a sailboat.
Sailing competitively, he participated in team trials in New Jersey, where qualified sailors compete for spots on international teams as well as the National Development Team. In March, Robbie travelled to Italy as one of 20 sailors representing Team USA in the Lake Garda 30th Annual Optimist Meeting where he competed against more than 1,000 young sailors from 40 countries.

Accomplishments: Sailed in New Jersey at the 2012 Opti Team Trials April 23-27, represented Team USA in Italy at the 30th Lake Garda Optimist Meeting - an international sailing regatta April 5-8, took third overall and first in his age category at the Texas Sailing Association Youth Circuit Competition 2012.

Ambition: “I would like to sail for a college team, teach young kids to sail, become and engineer and sail world class boats.”
