Bellaire High grads, now rock-n-rollers, visit alma mater
Bellaire HighThe band Electric Touch, featuring members who graduated from Bellaire High School in 2005, played a concert in the school courtyard.
The band returned to Houston to play at the House of Blues to promote its new album “Never Look Back” and decided to drop in at the alma matter of founding members Christopher and Louis. They played for 30 minutes during lunchtime and stayed afterward to meet with the Bellaire student body and sign autographs.
Twin brothers Christopher Leigh Messina and Louis Messina formed the band in 2007 and later added Shane Lawlor as lead vocalist, bassist Portland Musser and keyboardist Isaac Strycker.
The garage-rock band has since made a name for itself, having performed at Coachella, Austin City Limits festival, Lollapalooza, Warped Tour, CMJ Music Marathon in New York and SXSW. Electric Touch is currently touring North America and gaining radio exposure for their single “Don't Stop.”
