Rotary honors board member
Bellaire Rotary Past President Bernie Satterwhite congratulates new METRO Board Member Cindy Siegel on being named Vocational Person of the Year by the Club.
METRO Board Member Cindy Siegel was named Vocational Person of the Year by the Bellaire/Southwest Houston Rotary this May.
Siegel received the award for her work promoting vocations and professions and assisting local organizations throughout the Bellaire area.
“I can guarantee you will see her associated with almost every community fundraiser and improvement project in some fashion,” said Bellaire City Manager, Bernie Satterwhite, in a May press release.
Satterwhite presented the award to Siegel at a recent Rotary ceremony at the BraeBurn Country Club.
Before serving on the METRO Board, Siegel was the Bellaire Mayor and a Bellaire City Council Member for approximately 16 years.
She also served as a director of the Bellaire Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the Bellaire Planning and Zoning Commission.
Siegel has been involved with several local organizations throughout her career including the Evelyn’s Park Conservancy, the Patrons of Bellaire Parks, the Houston Alzheimer’s Association, the Texas Coalition of Alzheimer’s Association, the Aged and Disability Advisory Board of Texas Department of Human Services and more.
