Neuhaus Education Center receives 10,000 books
The Neuhaus Education Center recently received 10,000 books from the H-E-B Read 3 campaign in Houston. The books were donated and delivered to seven Houston ISD schools on May 15.
The recipient schools are Bonham Elementary, Garcia Elementary, Whidby Elementary, Gregory Lincoln Elementary, Kashmere Garden Elementary, the High School Ahead Academy and Worthing High School.
The H-E-B Read 3 campaign was developed by H-E-B CEO and Chairman Charles Butt, who has a strong commitment to education.
The campaign has three basic components: in-store learning and shopping experiences for customers, access to affordable books and community outreach.
The Neuhaus Education Center is dedicated to the prevention of reading failure. Since 1980, the center has served more than 60,000 reading teachers and approximately 2,000 adult learners.
The center is located at 4433 Bissonnet, Bellaire.
