A Houston woman is facing a class A misdemeanor charge of possession of a penalty group 3 controlled substance (less than 28 grams) after being arrested on May 27, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The woman, 44, was booked on May 27.

A man was arrested on a charge of tampering or fabricating physical evidence on Tuesday, May 29, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The 31-year-old black male was booked at the Harris County Jail on May 30 and is facing a third-degree felony charge.
