Nature Discovery Center to hold summer nature nights
Visit the Nature Discovery Center for summer nightsfilled with live animals, crafts, family friendly nature walks and talks, discovery room visits and themed snacks.
Live animals, crafts, family-friendly nature walks and talks make up the summer nature nights programs being offered at the Nature Discovery Center, 7112 Newcastle St., Bellaire.
Activities start at 6:30 p.m., with talks following at 7 p.m. A suggested donation of $5 per family is requested to help with program costs.
Wildlife Rehab is set for Wednesday, July 11. Focusing on the work performed by the Wildlife Center of Texas, attendees will learn what to do if they find an orphaned or injured animal. For more information, visit wildlifecenteroftexas.org.
Texas Snakes on Wednesday, Aug. 8 offers an up-close encounter with snakes. Clint and Michelle Pustejovsky from Texas Snakes will discuss the types found around Houston, covering snake identification, natural history and safety.
