Bellaire runners complete Dad's Day 5K

Eight runners from Bellaire completed the Dad's Day 5K on Saturday, June 16 in Houston.

The Bellaire runners are: Katherine Marshall, 30, (18:39); Caryn Honig, 47,(23:13); Kara Koinis, 20, (23:42); Theresa Drago, 62, (34:29); Hannah Lapin, 20, (35:22); Callie Hester, 6, (38:40); Robert Light, 63, (53:01); and Linda Benson, 61, (53:16).

A total of 860 runners finished the 5K race, which started and ended on Prairie under the Wortham Arch. The course is USATF-certified.

Maximo Mendoza, of Pearland was the men's overall winner with a time of 15:41, while Lauren Smith of Lake Jackson was the women's winner in 17:23.
