Bellaire Recreation Center to host summer music camp
Area children are invited to join the Fusion Jam Music Summer Camp, hosted by Bellaire Recreation Center.
Students of all experience levels are invited to join the camp, where they will be grouped into a band to write, record and perform original music. During the camp, students will discover the art of jamming, song writing, recording, production, publishing and promotion, performance and music terminology.
Fusion Jam Music brings together student musicians from private lessons, garage bands, school bands, singers, songwriters and music production to collaborate and encourage students in the creative process. At the end of the camp each group will record a song, with the best songs as voted on by Fusion Jam Music organizers uploaded to the camp’s social media sites.
The scheduled time for the camp is 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 23 to July 27 at Bellaire Recreation Center, 7008 Fifth St., Bellaire. It is designed for children ages 11 to 18. Each student receives a T-shirt, a flash drive with his or her camp music portfolio, a music journal and a music notebook
