Bellaire High School to have public meeting about search for new principal
Input is being sought from members of the community as Bellaire High School begins its search for a new principal.
Houston Independent District Improvement Officer Dr. Charles L. Hopson will host the meeting which will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16 in the high school's multi-purpose room. Parents and other community members are invited to join faculty and staff during the open meeting which will gather input on the desired characteristics of a principal and the specific needs at Bellaire High School that should be addressed by the incoming principal.
The search for a new principal began after Tim Salem, who had served as principal at Bellaire for the past 10 years, stepped down in late July to accept a new position in his home state of Alabama.
Anyone who would like more information about the meeting should call 713-556-7143 or email chopson@houstonisd.org. Bellaire High School is part of the Houston Independent School District and is located at 5100 Maple St., in Bellaire.
