Parker Elementary to host tours of magnet school
Parker Elementary is hosting tours of the magnet school during Magnet Awareness Week.
The tours will take place from Monday to Friday, Nov. 5 to Nov. 9 at 10626 Atwell Drive, in Houston. Tours will take place at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 and Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 and Friday, Nov. 9 with an additional tour taking place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7.
According to a press release, the magnet has instruction in Suzuki strings, piano, band, chorus, guitar and music enrichment. Parkers Suzuki strings and choral programs have national reputations for excellence and its band program has been recognized throughout the state.
Parker performing groups, for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, have performed at prestigious events around Texas and across the country.
